Bautismo
El Bautismo es un sacramento, un signo por medio del cual Dios se comunica con nosotros y nos da vida. Bautizar a los niños es abrir el camino de la relación entre los niños y Dios que es el autor de su vida. El bautismo marca a los niños en el nombre del Dios de la vida (Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo).
Los hace hijos de Dios y los fortalece con el Espíritu de Jesús muerto y resucitado para que, como miembros de la Iglesia, vivan en el mundo como hijos de Dios.
El Bautismo de nuestros bebés nos compromete a ayudarlos en su camino. Tenemos que proteger su vida para que crezcan en abundancia de vida, como hijos de Dios. A esto, mayores declaran y asumen su papel:
1. Antes de bautizar a los niños declaran su propia fe.
2. Después de bautizarlos, proclaman ante Dios y ante la comunidad que los niños bautizados son hijos de Dios.
3. Y renuevan su compromiso cristiano de amarlos, cuidarlos y criarlos como parte de una misma familia de fe.

Baptism
Baptism is a sacrament, that is, a sign through which God communicates with us and gives us his grace and life. Baptizing our children means opening the way to the relationship between them and the God who is the giver of life. Christian Baptism marks the children in the name of the God of life (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). It makes them children of God and strengthens them with the Spirit of the crucified and risen Lord so that, as members of the church, they can live in the world as God’s children.
The Baptism of our babies commits us to helping them in their journey in this life. We have to protect their fragile and tender life and help them to grow in the abundance of life and love of the children of God. We commit ourselves to all this before God and before the community at the baptismal font.
There are three moments when adults declare and assume their role in the Baptism of children:
1. Before baptizing them, they reaffirm their own faith.
2. They proclaim before God and the community that their children are the children of God.
3. And they renew their Christian commitment to love our children, to nurture and educate them as members, whit us, of one family.
